My system will not load windows. It will post then promt me on what operating system to boot (I have a pirates of the caribian boot screen) I will choose "Windows XP Proffesinal (Bootscreen)" And It will sit there. It does not shutdown, reboot or give me an error message.

The latest hardware change was a new case and a new CD Drive

Hmmm...the bootscreen is an unwelcome variable; who knows what kind of chaos it may be causing. Boot from your XP disk and repair your installation. There are plenty of guides if you do a Google. Properly done, a repair will not erase any imortant data you have save.

Can you boot in safe mode? If you can check the boot ini and then look in the start menu. You might have to disable programs in the start menu that are not standard with XP and then try booting again. If the system boots, then enable them again one at a time until you find out which program is stalling.
