HELP! my computer can't see my burner anymore..

ECHO

Everything was working fine until I swapped out my ATI PC2TV and voodoo2 video cards with a V3 3K AGP card. Now when I boot up my computer it won't detect my Plextor CD burner, it doesn't show up in the device manager and I haven't been able to add it through Add New Hardware

My old set up (the one that worked) was this:

Primary IDE:
Master - HD
Slave - HD

Secondary IDE:
Master - Plextor 8/4/32 CD-WR
Slave - Creative 24x CD

My current set up is this:

Primary IDE:
Master - HD
Slave - Creative 24x CD

Secondary IDE:
Master Plextor - 8/4/32 CD-WR
No Slave device

I've tried just about every possible hardware combo to get the plextor to work, swapped out the power and ribbon cables and have switched the power cables on the 2 CD devices with no success.

Is there anything else I can try?

Could there be a conflict between the V3 and the Plextor?

any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Try the plextor on the middle connection of the IDE cable. Make sure the blue end is in the mobo. Try reseating the jumpers on the drive, also try cable select if that doesn't work. Try another cable, look for bent pins, clean any contacts with switch and contact cleaner. Make sure that your BIOS isn't disabling it.
