Hey there.

I used to have that card ( quite literally... that's my actual card ;) ) and I don't remember if I tried to use the line-in on it ever.

What drivers are you using for it? There have been several versions for it and some are total trash.

Also dumb stuff - is the input muted? How are you trying to use it (source)?

You need to narrow down where the problem exists, it's either in the drivers or in the TV Tuner's application.

Do this by removing the input you have going into the chaintech card right now and plug in something else, maybe an iPod or something similar?

Once you do this, open up the Sound Recorder and check to see if you're getting an input.

If you get an input, then the drivers and hardware are working properly, you need to play around with the TV tuner's application. If it doesn't, your issue lies in the drivers.

First, what driver are you using because the one i am using is dummer then a sack of potatos.
AgaBoogaboo i tried your idea and i could not put my ipod in but when i put my microphone in it did not do anything and you might be right about my tv tuner.

And how did you know i have a tv tuner are you stocking me.

Oh, and in case I wasn't clear, my old AV-710 is currently in your computer, I sold it to Agaboogaboo... thus I'm not using any drivers for it.

I'm glad you're not my friend. If that's how you treat your friends, then we were never friends in the first place.
