HELP...MS Ooutlook 2002 & WinXP Pro problem

I loaded a system witn WinXP Pro & Office XP Pro. Everything worked fine for a few days. All of a sudden Outlook 2002 email "reply" buttons became greyed out & will not work. I tried running ms offce repair & windows repair with no success. I then uninstalled office & re-installed it. Same problem, it would work for a few days then the email "reply" buttons became greyed out. I tried the online updates, but that did not work. I tried a fesh install of windows & office with no success. I also made sure my system was virus free.
Any ideas ???
