Help. Monitor image resizing based on color of image. Major headache (literally)

Yesterday I picked up a new 19" monitor as I was under the impression my old one was biting the dust. However now after only 1 day this brand new monitor displays the *EXACT* same problems of the old monitor, though it didn't right out of the box, it was fine for about 7 hours.

Basically, the image on the screen gets bigger or smaller based upon the color (or perhaps brightness?) of whatever the monitor is currently displaying. The amount of space the image grows/shrinks is dependant on coloring, but going from pure black to pure white makes the image grow by about a 1/4 inch!

I thought it might be an energy thing, so I've put this monitor on a different plug on its own surge protector, but no dice. I've tried drivers, I've tried different refresh rates, and I've tried different resolutions, nothing fixes it. There's nothing near the monitor to give off any sort of interference either.

Its so bad that as I type this I can see the bottom border of this text box jiggling as I type. :(

I'm at my rope's end as far as what to do. I hope there are some of you out there that can help me. Thanks.

Update on situation:

- I switched out video cards
- I hooked BOTH monitors to Laptop
- I've ran new monitor off UPS battery backup rather than wall outlet
- I've switched rooms w/ monitor + laptop
- I've tried different power strips

All of these have resulted in not helping the problem any whatsoever.

- I've checked my roomate's monitor, and his does *NOT* do it.

2 different computers...
2 different monitors...
2 sources of electricity...
WTH is going on :(
