I have an Abit AI7 motherboard. I took apart my computer to install somenew hardware (new HD and DVD burner). Now, when I poer on the computer, it tells me in the little window where it displays codes, #83 with a single beep. In the motherboard manual it says 83 = "Save all data in stack back to CMOS."

I don't know what that means, and don't know what to do. Anyone have a solution? Thanks...

neat! you try resetting the CMOS? should be a jumper on the board for it, or you can just take the battery out for a few minutes to reset everything.

I tried resetting the bios in the following manner:

I unplugged the PSU, I took the CMOS jumper from setting 1-2 and placed it on setting 2-3 for about 10 secs. Then I placed the jumper back to 1-2, repplugged the PSU and tried a reboot. This gave me the same error, 83, as I listed above. Anyone else think of anything this could be?

Alright, I guess I had too much crap plugged into my PSU and that was the problem. I was getting no post and as soon as I unplugged some crap out of there, BINGO ~ post, no prob. FYI for anyone else out there.
