resist? Hell no
I reinstalled about 2 months ago.
I now (again) play it every waking free min I have at home (not too many with wife and kids, but they can't stay awake forever). Not to mention every lunch break at work.
WHEN you reinstall, make sure to get the total realism mod for Warlords, and you're life is officially over.

Can you feel the urge building?

That is SOOOOO exact. "Oh I'll just go one more turn" or "Oh I'll just wait until I get this research done or "I'll just wait until this city is done building that World Wonder".... 3hrs later... "FVCK!"

Rome: Total War = Rome: Total Crack
Man, that game completely consumed my life.

Civilization IV is a game I've always wanted to play but never got around to it. Must get it. I mean, it sounds really awesome. Everyone here loves it. I am going to get next time I go shopping Civ IV. It's a shame you're just sitting on the discs and too chickenshit to install it.

Come one man - live a little. Install it. Good times, come again.

While the enhanced aspect of espionage looks to take some learning, just about everything else they added improves on the areas of the game that seemed a little lacking. Who could complain about that.

I get like that sometimes. Then I remember that no matter what, a cool city will never do anywhere near as well as a boring, mathematical city and I stop playing.

I'm guessing most of you succumb to your urges, but to those of you who don't what do you do to stop these urges?

I am one of the many. I too have had urges to reinstall it. I cant quite bring myself to buy anything new since I would need a new computer to actually play anything new. Grrr.. What to do...

I don understand this "reinstalling" thing you people are talking about. Is that where you put another copy on a second machine so you can play two games at once?

Damnit, Telnap better get my site back up and running. Those guys over on the civfanatics forum are likely to rip my head off.

Reinstall is where they uninstall the game, and later on installed it again. Hence, a re-install.

I don't get how you guys can play those games for hours. They are boring as hell! In my opinion, of course. :p

I've never been a fan of very many games other than sports. There are a few, but definitely not anything I can play nonstop. Now sports game, damn, I'll play those all day if I want. NBA 07, Madden 07, and Winning Eleven are on my PC right now, and it's a great threesome to get through those long days. The new Madden comes out in August.......sweet.

I was being facetious. :p I installed the game the day it came out and have had it on my computer ever since.

OP, there's a new GOTM over at CivFanatics. You should play it!

I spent like 20 hours or more playing CIV 1 during finals week of my freshman year in college. Boy that was fun. I was on my awesome Dothan 1.8ghz laptop playing a 1995 game =)

Ooh that GOTM looks good, god damn, I think I learned my lesson: don't come to ATOT for help when it comes to games.
