Hi, currently I?m having a problem with my Windows ME. Now, everytime I reboot my pc, the Windows will automactically open up some window folder by itself. I notice this will happen if I did not close all window folder and shut down the system. For example, if I did not close the ?my document? folder and shutdown the system, when I startup my system again or I go for a reboot, the ?my document? window folder will open by it self. Please help.

Click on the little x and close down the window. It will take two seconds of your time.

I don't understand why this is a problem. This is an annoyance, yes, but Windows is a huge, bloated, overpriced annoyance to begin with.

EDIT: I reread your post several times and I think I understood what you were trying to say. Assuming my understanding of your problem is correct, I will give you the official Microsoft reply on this matter:

"That is a feature, not a bug."

In other words, that is expected behavior. It works like that on all other Win9x installations with IE 4.0+ "integrated" into the OS.

Um...how is this an annoyance? It was intended to work this way. Windows remembers what folders you have open at shutdown, and re-opens them when you start back up. If you don't want to use that feature, close your folders... SIMPLE!
