Basically you want any old video card that has "TV out" onboard. You can find a card in just about any price range with this feature - just ask your friendly neighborhood computer salesperson or look on the back of the card for what looks like the female connector end of a RCA cable (also called a composite jack).

But basically saying, "Hi, I need a card with TV-out onboard it" should get you what you need. ;)

If you are specifically going to be outputting DVD video to your TV you might want to consider a MPEG2 Decoder card. The Hollywood+ is one of the best and can be had for $50 - $60 (the TV out looks great). The reason I say this is that I have yet to see a TV out on a video card display a really good quality picture.

Go with an ATI All in Wonder video card..... or the Hollywood + if you are just looking to run DVD out to your TV.

The All in Wonder video card will also do this, and so much more. You would be able to watch tv on your computer, record video on your computer, capture video on your computer (great for emailing pics to your family and friends), have WEB tv on your tv or your computer.... and on and on. Look at the specs at the ATI website for more info.

The hollywood card is GREAT for just watching DVD though. EXCELLENT picture quality and AC3 sound to run to a DOLBY DIGITAL 5.1 decoder... for movie theater sound!

Good luck! :)
