I decided to install Vista on my partitioned hard drive. Everything ran great..I just decided I wanted to just keep XP on one hard drive and buy a new hard drive for vista later. So I reformatted the Vista partition. Now when I boot the computer, the computer still is looking for Vista. It errors out and makes me hit enter..then I can select XP Pro. I need to know how to edit this boot so that it boots straight into windows XP without me having to select it.

edit: I just noticed that I already posted this here...I posted on a few different forums..so Sorry to the OP I let one slip! Please delete the old post..there were no responses to it anyways.

Booting into the XP recovery console and running fixboot and fixmbr should take care of it.
