God, I was talking to my friend, and he knew when I closed my conversations with him. So then I asked him if he's keylogging me, he said maybe.. He can see everything I do, from CPU usage to all the files on my comp.... How do I get him to stop? I already have a firewall, and 5 spyware programs.

Go through the allowed programs on your firewall and see if there is something out of place. Whatever he is using has to be in your firewall list.

LMAO! Many IM clients notify you when someone opens/closes the chat window.

Type something in Notepad, preferably wickedly offensive, and tell him to read it back to you.

Yup, my suspicion is that he's just using Gaim

How the hell would a keylogger let him see the files on your computer anyway? Or when you close an IM window? How would he even read the log files in real time? In fact, what the hell are you talking about?

Well uhh... he apparently got me using MSN, and he also sent me keylogger.exe, which I never accepted... So I don't know.. Sygate Personal Firewall didn't detect it... I can't find the program... Its soo hard.... He knew when I closed, and opened...

Run some antivirus and antitrojan software, and keep an eye on your ports. As for knowing when you open and close a chat convo with him on MSN, there are programs out there that let you know. Like a friend once installed some prog, and whenever I closed an msn chat window with him, i would get an automated message from him telling me not to close the window. Got annoying as hell tho. Also monitor your firewall, check to see which programs and applications are using the internet.

yeah

for good measure, ask him to come over, and hit him in the nuts with a baseball bat.

then tell him youre going to do it once again every 3 minutes until he can satisfy you that your pc is clean...i should note that at this time its perfectly acceptable to not have a working clock around and that using mace may not hurt either.

Lol, if I ever get a hold of him. Oh yeah, he said he customed keylogger.exe to make it a huge 415 kb file. He created it with asm yet I don't see why he had to be such an ***. I just hope my other friend gets a hold of verizon (he has connections) and gets the verizon account banned...
