Help me with Video Drivers

Can someone help a novice with video driver issues (see my system specs below)? I would really appreciate the advice.

My system runs fine though I haven't had much success with o/c'ing my Asus 7100. I have edited the registry and all that but I don't seem to get more than 2-4 fps extra on UT even when the card is maxed out. [800 x 600, 32 bit, high detail= about 56-60 fps). I have tried various settings and nothing seems to help a lot. Any ideas?

A possible related question:I have recently installed the Asus v. 6.18 drivers for this card so I am "current". To be honest, I do not recall installing the VIA 4 in 1 or GART drivers when I first put this system together. I assumed that all the necessary video drivers got installed when I installed the Asus drivers. Bad assumptions:

How can I tell if I really installed all the needed VIA drivers? If the system works, wouldn't it mean I have installed them?

I have looked at the various properties under windows but don't see where you can tell what version of the VIA drivers are loaded. Possibly it's in the BIOS and not under Win 98?

Sorry for these clueless questions but I would appreciate some help. Honestly, I tried to RTFM but didn't have emough success in answering my questions. The manual tells how to install the VIA drivers but not where to check the versions.

The system will work without the latest 4in1 drivers. Stability is another issue altogether. However, there's no reason for you to not install the latest 4in1 drivers, especially since it's possible that it will solver your problem.

Also, you might compare your results to the ones benchmarked at Anandtech. The lowest res they show is 1024x768, but their results seem to be on par with what you're getting at 800x600.
 
To install the latest Via 4 in 1 drivers go here the latest official drivers are 4.25a,I just look in device manager to see if VIA hardware is listed under system devices tree, anyway download the drivers from the above site & you will have latest official drivers,you won`t get high FPS on UT since it`s just one of those games that run better with glide.

Would you guys also recommend I download and run the AGP Driver 4.04 or any of the other files listed on the link you sent me? I have updated the latest Promise ATA-100 controller.
