Help me with my NFORCE2 sound issue please!

Okay, I can't use the digital connector on my NF7-S 1.2 even though my speakers are both digital and analog because the digital connector on the mobo is a dig. coax as opposed to a 1/8". SO, I am trying to hook up my analog sound and I finally heard some noises. The problem is they're all distorted and nasty.

I am using Boston Acoustics BA735 2.1 system. I have two friends who have the same set hooked up perfectly fine and one of which was actually hooked up to this exact mobo. If anyone can possibly help me with this I'd greatly appreciate it.

have you tried your set on his mobo..? might be your set has belliedup...dunno what else to say..
