My specs are: AMD XP 1600+, 384MB of DDR RAM, geForce 2 MX400, FIC AD11 motherboard. Here's the scoop, this computer has constantly been giving me hell. If I try to play a game or restart it just shuts itself off and the PC speaker just begins to beep and I see nothing. It's driving me crazy and I have no idea what the problem is. I suspect it is either the power supply or motherboard. Have any of you heard of this bogus problem?! I need help, please give me your opinion no matter how outrageious it is. 🙁😱:disgust:😀:|
 
Take out everything except the cpu, mobo, and ram (the bare minimum)

If it still fux0rs up, try testing the ram/mobo/cpu with some other working components (ie your other pc, if it is socket a/dimm)

If it works, then gradually add your components until you find the fscked up part
 
fat's siggestion is right on, pull out all ram but 1 stick, all option cards just leave in what you need to boot, video, ram, cpu
this will help you determin if you have an irq conflict
