Help me with LILO

i was trying to change the default boot in my mandrake config, and when i rebooted, i got a whole buncha garbage. i tried the rescue thing on cd1 of the mandrake install and tried to reinstall the bootloader and i got an error. so i went ahead and redid the mbr for windows, so at least i have half my system up...but i rreally need my linux back. any ideas on how to get my lilo back up and running so i can actually boot into linux?

Have you gone into rescue, dropped to shell, and simply run lilo? if you could post the error(s) that'dbe great too. sounds like lilo just up and died on you, I've had the same thing. Luck to you.

To start with, boot to a rescue disk, mount your system partition and post your lilo.conf file here. It's really hard to say anything without seeing your configuration.
