I am getting in to video recording and editing at home and was wondering what upgrades to do. Currently I am using FRAPS to record footage from game play in World of Warcraft and using Adobe Premier to edit the video. When I try to record video the system becomes laggy playing the game but the video doesnt appear to be dropping any frames.

My rig specs are as follows
Asus PC-DL with 2 1.6 Xeons running at 2.1
1 GB of mushkin ram
80GB PATA 8mb cache WD harddrive.

I am upgrading to a SATA WD hard drive and i am debating where to upgrade processors, get more ram(another 1gb), do both or just sell it all and get something different.

This might not have anything to do with your system but a limitation of FRAPS.
