Help me to buy a GFX card!!

my processor is quad core 2.44.......abit ip35e mother board.........help me to buy a gfx card which is good and cheap.........my budget is maximum 60$.......i need to buy it asap. Please Help Me. And give atleast 2names.......because in my country everything is not available.
 
What do you want to do with it? Games or just web surfing, etc...? If you want to game, what games are you interested in?
 
ummm..........mainly i'll use the pc for recording........and web browsing is a daily thing..........but i do play games sometimes..........games like GTA, NFS. But my younger bro who is 14 is very excited and he plays a lot of games.........like splinter cell, metal gear solid. And all the EA sports game. I'm kinda broke........but i'll have to buy a moderate graphics card atleast for my brother. And one more thing.....im going to buy a tv card too.......which one should i buy ?? internal or external ??

One is Nvidia, one AMD. Like the difference between Ford and Toyota.

Not a whole lot of bang for the buck at $60. Looking at Newegg you can get a GeForce 8600GT or a Radeon 2600XT for about $65. If you can save a few bucks for $100 I saw Radeon 3870's on Newegg.
 
I would go for about $100 dollars and get a HD3870 on Newegg. If you go for anything less its just not worth it. Now, if you want a TV card you should definitely get an internal one. External ones are more expensive and usually perform worse. Only thing is that you have to get it installed but if you can do it yourself it's no problem.
 
You can find used ATI HDTV Wonder cards on ebay pretty cheap. They only tune over the air stations, not cable or satellite. Maybe a ATI 3650 card would work well for you. They are pretty cheap. What country are you in? You obviously don't want to order from another country or the shipping will use up your whole budget! If I were you, I would wait and save up some money so you can get something decent and not waste money on a card that won't do what you want it to do.
