help me stop recycle bin from beeping!!!

I have win2kpro, and my default login is a poweruser. I turn off all system sounds by default because I hate computer sounds except those I play with winamp or gaming. When I'm logged in as administrator, the friggin' recycle bin still beeps when I empty it!!! Make it stop! Even with all system sounds off it still beeps! HELP!
 
Hmmm.. weird it shouldn't beep if all the sounds are turned off.

I guess you could make a 2 or 3 sec. silent .wav file and set it to play it when you empty it.
 

Because the sounds are turned off is why you're getting the system bell (beep) to ring.

Turn the sounds back on and then disassociate all the sounds from all the events... should be nice and quite thereafter. 🙂
 
But when I did the same thing as a power user it didn't beep. ???
When I set the "empty recycle bin" sound to none, it still friggin beeps!!!!
I'll have to try the "silent wav" file suggestion.
