ok i know ill probably get told i sont really need to overclock and possibly ill agree with that, but this computer i have now will probably not get upgraded, (bar new fans n little bits n bobs) for anoter 2 years maybe more.
i spent close to £1600 on my rig in september, im at uni now and obviously have precious little money.
heres the meat of what i have
socket 754 AMD 3200+ (newcastle), ASUS K8N-E Deluxe, Geil Value 1GB PC3200 (DDR400 @ 2.5-4-4-8, DDR333 @ 2-3-3-7) 2xSamsung Sata Drives on the Nvidia NForce 3 250Gb SATA controller
Enermax 475watt noise taker
and i have a Leadtek 6800GT,
graphics card ocing i can handle, and my gt can get to original ultra speeds of 400/1100 (the new ultras the leadteks at least are now 425 core)
so i wanna know how far i can go, how much extra juice i can extract wen the time comes. the furthest i went is i put FSB to 220 and ran at 2.4Ghz but that means my HT is 880 (already toasty chipset) and ram is 440
can i do something like run the cpu fsb high, but keep the ram at say 200 or something?
whats the best way i can get the most from this system
(cooling is provided by a Zalman CNPS7000Cu and 2x120mm case fans)
