Things I had in mind:

Center channel speaker and sub for my HT?

2 x 1TB hard drives for my HTPC?

Budget receiver to replace my aging one?

???

*A few dollars over won't be a problem.

with $200 I'd say the hard drives

won't get good quality parts with that money for the other stuff you listed

I beg to differ. 😛

I have a 160GB 5400RPM HDD in my laptop right now, and I ordered a replacement 250GB 7200RPM which just came in the mail this week. Considering I've use 110/160GB, I would say that getting a bigger HDD isn't boring at all.

They won't be the best but should be decent. Looking at a polk center ch from newegg for 70 and a 10" dayton sub from partsexpress for $120.

I agree with the boring part... you're spending the only $200 you're going to spend, you should see some return... like something tangible.

Two terabytes of space is pretty damn tangible.

You can't play w/ 2 HDs. What are you gonna do, rub them on your man nipples? Get something fun, something you can actually use and enjoy.
