help me settle an argument

a fellow AT'er keeps badgering me about the fact that eakers and kei have big egos from all the threads that are made about them. well i've talked to both of them and i think they are nice girls who aren't going to let a bunch of geeks on a forum get to their heads. oh and also he says that it's eakers and kei's fault that these threads pop up. like they should put a stop to it because all other members on this board are annoyed by them. personally, if something annoys me i just dont' read it. and i don't think it's up to kei and eakers to put a stop to it.

anyways, tell me what u guys think.

It's not their fault that the people who populate these forums tend to be women deprived. When the post the pics threads come up, naturally some women are going to post them and it'd very Taliban-ish to forbid them from doing so. Though I think the women here should be warned in a "Do not feed the animals" sort of fashion.

I recall talking to eakers a long time ago about this whole situation and it leaves her stuck between a rock and a hard place. She can say, "Yeah I'm hot" and people will say she's stuck up. If she says "I'm not all that", people will say she's fishing for compliments.

I do think alot of the AT girl related posts are entertaining because some of the guys make such a big deal out of it. It's kind of artificial because they don't interact with the women here as they would in real life. They are like, OMG look it's a girl!! as if they've never really talked to girls before. Women are just people except that they are softer and smell better.

I probably shouldn't say too much tho, maybe kei or eakers will come out and say that I'm just as big a dork as the other ATers. :Q

At anyrate I don't think either of them have big egos at all, they are both kind, sweet girls.

weezergirl, no I don't think that they have big ego's, I believe the threads are started because they have PICS, not that I'm against this, but every time a woman is involved, some of the first replies are for PICS'. I admit, that I do this myself, but it is kinda funny after a while on the boards here

do i think people that post little grovel threads are lame and pathetic? in not so many words, yes.

do i care that they post these things? no, not really. they're amusing, if nothing else.

do i think kei and eakers are full of themselves? i dunno, but it's not their fault that these threads are made.

do i think this "fellow AT'er" should stop bugging you about stuff that doesn't really concern anybody but the mods, eakers, kei, and those who make such postings? *nods head*

I've talked to Eakers a few times and think she's a sweetie...I've never talked to kei before, though.

I would imagine that it helps their self-esteem but it's hardly anything to get a big ego over.

I don't think they've got big egos. Flattered, pleased, perhaps, but not a big head. Those two are words away from Happykitten, who was nothing but an attention hound. Only if the attention makes either of them uncomfortable, however, do I think something should be done about it.

Some of the people here act like they've never seen a girl before, then obsess over eakers. They should all go out into the real world. There's many fish in the sea and eakers is not the center of everything female like some of the posters here make her out to be.

I agree, so many of them just obsess over someone over the net there is no chance in hell they will ever get or probably not even meet for that matter, then they wonder why they never have girlfriends or even meet girls in the real world. I don't care much about the egos of the girls, its the constant fawning all over them on various forums that annoys me.
