This is my system now

I have been having memory errors and memtest comes up with errors. The pc crashes.

Someone in another thread said I have my memory and sidebus set wrong.

I think I have a 1333 side bus.. but the memory only runs at 800mhz ????

advice?

What does increasing the voltage do ?

I remember buying memory that was rated higher than I needed at the time. I assumed the mobo just downclocks it to what I need.

part number BL12864AL1065 is what I bought from crucial directly.

I think it was PC8500 DDR2.

I just scanned my system at crucial to see what it said

I could not find the part number on crucial site anymore... as they no longer MFG this exact stick..

But a google search revealed this: (might or might not be correct)

Part Number
BL12864AL1065
Model
Micron Technology - Crucial Ballistix Tracer
Description
Crucial Ballistix Tracer Memory - 1 GB - DIMM 240-pin - DDR2 - 1066 MHz / PC2-8500 - CL5 - 2.2 V - unbuffered - non-ECC1

I think this is a review of it:

ok,

as for the MOTHERBOARD:

http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?model=Maximus II Formula&os=30&SLanguage=en-us

I have an Asus Formula II Maximus Mobo. It is LGA775 socket, intel x38/ICH9R.

The system bus in manual lists 1600/1333/1066/800
Memory is 4x240pin DIMM sockets support unbuffered ECC DDR2 1200*/1066/800/667 *1200mhz after overclocking

Help me set this thing up for max performance please
