Help me set network places

Okay I got a virus that supposedly travels by using unprotected file sharing as transportation. So I took symantecs advice and disabled easy file sharing and set a password on the guest account. However now on my other computer I cannot set a network place.. well.. I can set a network place but I cannot see any files inside of the folder. The only way I can access the other computer is to choose "create a new network place" and find the computer right click choose "explore" and enter the password. However I would rather have a shortcut that just prompts for password when it is clicked. How can I arrange this?
