Help me remember the name of a TV show

The other day I was thinking about some of the bizarre and fun TV shows from when I was young and I remember one that was particularly silly but I can't remember the name of it, and Google isn't helping me find it. I'm hoping someone here can.

I don't remember any of the character names or exactly when it was produced, but it was probably some time between 1980 and 1990. The main premise of the show was that a man had giant white feathered wings surgically attached to his shoulders and he had to learn how to use those muscles so he could fly.

I wish I could remember more of the actual plot, but that's all I can think of right now. Any ideas?

It wasn't The Greatest American Hero, although that one is on my "guilty pleasures" favorites list. That one involved a wimpy nerd putting on special alien 'pajamas' that give him super powers.

The one I'm trying to remember has the main character with actual giant bird wings attached to his shoulders. I can only remember vaguely since has been so long, but I think they looked sort of like this: http://pre02.deviantart.net/3dce/th...ute_best_angel_wings_by_amiamy111-d5ex3w7.png

Haven't turned up anything in searching, but I did stumble upon this and I'm kinda intrigued (I like Egyptian mythology, though it does look like a potentially cheesy Wonder Woman clone).

EDIT: interesting, it came out the same year as the Lynda Carter Wonder Woman series, and has the same rating on IMDB.

Gotta love The Flying Nun! I used to watch it just because I had a crush on Sally Field way back then. Super cheezy show, though. 🙂

Does this help?

OK, that's a picture I'd like to un-see. 😀

It could have been from the 70's but I don't think so. It definitely wasn't that one. The one I'm thinking of actually had the wings surgically attached to the man's shoulders so he had to learn how to use his back and shoulder muscles to flap the wings.

I haven't seen that one before. It sure does look like an Egyptian Wonder Woman to me. I might have to see if I can find it on Amazon or Netflix. 🙂

I wish I could remember the character's name since I could just look that up. It definitely wasn't X-men related. Although these wings look like they might have actually been re-used (based on my old and fading memory) from the old show I'm trying to remember, the X-Men movie was made LONG after this TV show, and there definitely weren't any other "super" or "mutant" characters in this show.

ISIS was great! Unfortunately it came on later on Saturday morning when the rush from eating the entire box of chocolate frosted sugar bombs was wearing off.
