HELP ME PLEASE!

ok, so this guy wants to kill me... what are some appropriate steps i can take so i can avoid the murder (self-defense in california)

LONG VERSION:

There's this crazy football player at the local highschool who has this fixation w/ one of my friends. He likes her but she rejected him. Apparently she likes me, and so now he's out to get me. i know a lot of crazy people myself that would literally shoot him if i asked them to. But i'd rather do this the legal way, being the pacifist that i am. So he did his research and knows which school i go to and where i live and everything ( i go to college ). He and his thugs are coming on friday to 'kill me.' He's a steroids abuser and would probably do anything to kill me. I have several AIM logs of him claiming that he will do so on friday. god i wish this kid wasn't so ugly so he wouldn't take out his bitterness on me. bleh. anyway...what are some legal ways i can go about handling this?

one of my friends says he's coming w/ a shotgun regardless of any other strategy i have to resolve this. (to kill him)


please fvcking help me!

btw..i don't live in the middle of arkansas....this is san diego.

the guy said he'd come and find me at ucsd on friday. it's a big campus. i can't just tell the cops to be my personal bodyguards for a day. he could show up at anytime...and he might not even find me. god i hate worthless stupid people who have no futures...so they wanna fvck w/ mine!

I'll say this one time, and I'm sure people who have been in the same position will agree with me... This person is full of sh!t. It's human nature to threaten people that are a threat to us. This guy is not going to show up at your house, he's not going to kill anyone. If you're really worried, then have your friend with the shotgun stay at your place over the course of the day, but I can guarantee that this person will never show at your house. You can take his action as the result of a man who knows he's been beaten and is trying any last ditch effort he can before he tucks tail and runs.

that's what i originally wanted to know. The issue of self-defense. how far can i go to protect myself?

that's what i originally wanted to know. The issue of self-defense. how far can i go to protect myself?

Fact 1: If you are acting in defense of your life (the person invaded your personal safety and was a threat) you'll have to go through some annoying police/court stuff but you'll walk away scott free if you "immobilize the situation". Hint: don't take a lethal shot... give him a shotgun blast to the leg/hand. If you can't move you can't kill anyone... and you haven't done anything illegal (non-lethal self defense is legal)

Fact 2: Go to the cops. The fact that he's under 18 makes no difference to the fact that he's making death threats to you. My earlier post was true... he'll probably never show up at your place, but that doesn't stop you from calling the cops and informing them that someone is making threats on your life.

First of all, go to the cops. Fill out a report, and all that good stuff. Why? Because there is a RECORD that he was making threats to you. That way if you EVER have to defend yourself, and let's hope that it doesn't come to this....but it'll be on record.

Also, I don't really know much about this guy. I want to say that he is full of crap, but I KNOW that there are crazy people out there. So, I would say play it safe. If you have classes that day, explain the situation to your teachers before hand. And avoid going to class IF you have to. Then, if you don't feel safe in your own place, go to a friend's place. He doesn't know where your friends live, does he?

Like I said, I would bet that he's just trying to play tough guy to get you scared. But you do need to be smart about this.

i was always afraid of using the shotgun because...

1) if he comes and we scare him away w/ the gun. what happens if he comes looking for me again, with a gun?

2) i don't really want to shoot anyone...no matter how worthless i think their existence is.

DUDE..ok..i don't typically get scared of stuff like this. i usually hold my own when i get into fights. i've gotten into a fight where it was me and 3 other guys...verse 20 people. however...in this situation ...i don't trust the sanity of my opponent....if he doesn't give a sh!t about the women who gave birth to him...he will be ruthless when it comes to me. I'm expecting his friends to have weapons and willing to use them in the lethal sense... not oh i'm gonna hurt you so you can't get back up sense.

I'm just about finished trying to convince you in this matter. You've got two choices here... either shoot this guy for threatening your life and he shows up at your house, or do nothing when he makes threats and never shows up for anything. Either way it's up to you.

Look.. the guy isn't gonna come to your place. If he does, remember, grab his beanbag, twist, and pull. It only takes about 5 pounds of pressure to rip off a guys beanbag. 10 for his willie. If you don't want to do that, go to local thrift store, buy a 9 iron.

dude...i don't think i'm capable of shooting a cow (and i hate animals) let alone a human.

FWIW, campus police usually would take this more seriously than the regular police. We got an e-mail after the fact apologizing for police action at one of the dorm complexes, saying only that a student felt threatened with imminent danger and that the police took the necessary precautions in order to protect that student. Now I understand that SD isn't Williamsburg, but I'm sure the police would appreciate being informed of that threat, and would help you out.
