IRQL-NOT-LESS-OK-EQUAL. My Computer always gets this
error. I just got it 4 times in the past 10 mins. It is
really annoying for my computer to get the bsod and have
to reboot in the middle of something I am doing. If
anyone knows the answer to this question please help. It
has been doing it for god knows how long but I am sick of
it. I thought XP was suppose to be more stable. My
windows 98 was more stable then this. Thanks.

Need more info. What are you doing on your machine when this happens? What programs are you running, what programs are installed. What kind of hardware do you have, and are you overclocking.

It is most likely a driver problem. Once you install an XP driver for whatever hardware is causing the problem, the OS should run fine. Do not be so quick to judge the OS :)

It does it whenever. It will do it on any program. It will do it when I am not even doing anything. I have the newest drivers for all my stuff. I even did a reformatt and did everything again and it still doesn't help. Maybe it is the bios of the motherboard. Since EPOX hasn't released any since October. I have no idea what is going on. I am getting really sick of this. Thanks again.

What software are you running when this occurs, I had this problem with XP and zonealarm and I am wondering if you are having the same issue, also check Microsoft?s knowledge base for more information just type in the exact error and do a search and it should come up with likely causes for it..

When i tried to overclock my Athlon 1.2 with a voltage that was too low i got this message when trying to boot into XP. I raised the voltage and it worked fine.

Try uninstalling blackice and see if your problems disappear. I and others have had simular problems w/blackice & winxp. Hope this helps.

Ok. Here is what I did (have done): I have reformatted again. Didn't help. I have updated the bios and all the drivers on my system. Didn't help. I reformatted and tried another motherboard still happens. I have set the voltage up still happens. I have no idea what the problem is but if it does it one more time i am going to back to Windows 98. I don't even have SE.

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000000a (0xfba7ddf4, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0x804f06cb). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini011602-02.dmp.

That was in the error log file. I don't really know what to make of it. I updated all my stuff. I reformatted a ton of times and my bios. The last thing is that xp finds my Linksys network card as version 4 instead of version 5. Linksys doesn't have drivers for xp since they said that they come with XP. If anyone could help me I would be very thankfull.
