I'm browsing newegg for a new mouse. Wired, not wireless. Optical, not ball. USB, not PS/2. Any ideas? Giving my old mouse to my pops.

Look at the mx518, that's what I have

Yeah I know, most of the mice are rather bland looking. My keyboard is pretty hawt, I wanted something to go with it :(

there are differences in mx 518 and g5, but the main points are....

g5 : 2000 dpi, 500 reports/sec

mx518: 1600 dpi, 125 reports/sec

both are good for games, but the 125 reports per second on the 518 is limited by xp, BUT there is a fix! :) with a simple program you can change that to up to 1000/sec making it lag free and ultra smooth

i did this to my 518 and wow, 100x better

I think I might go with the simple microsoft laser mouse. It's sleek and simple.

What other random accessory is worth upgrading? I've got a new keyboard, new monitor, new mouse picked out, new webcam... maybe new speakers?

he doesn't say he needs it for uber gaming, yet says no wireless. There's something wrong with that. Just get a bloody mx700.

I got a laptop style keyboard with a numpad. Kind of hard to find a decent one like it, and it has worked great. My webcam is a cheapy, don't use it often, but it works. The monitor is a BenQ FP91G+, it's absolutely fantastic.

For the speakers, I was thinking these. They match my PC case and have good reviews, plus they are super cheap. Even though I have 7.1 sound, I don't really want more than 2.1 speakers.
