Help me pick from this list

I'm looking for a $60 card, how would these cards stack up against each other? Anything missing from the list? Thanks in advance!

MSI GeForce 8500GT 256mb GDDR2
EVGA GeForce 7600GS 256mb GDDR2
Sapphire Radeon x1650 Pro 512mb GDDR2
MSI Radeon x1650GT 256mb GDDR3
connect3D Radeon X1600XT 256mb GDDR3

Really, 7600GT is better than all the cards on that list? Hmmm...it's a little out of price range but if it's really THAT much better...

You can get a 7600GT for $75 from NewEgg.

P.S. I don't know how it compares to the 8500GT (which has HD decode hardware acceleration, by the way), but it will kick the living crap out of all the other cards.

Well, for now the only game I play is CS:S and I want to be able to play it at it's highest settings and 1440x900 res. I would like to be able to play some of the newer games even though I probably won't have time to. I'm not expecting highest settings on the newer stuff but still decent.

7600GT...Yes it is that much better (as long as you don't need DX10).

Will run CS:S perfectly and also give you a bit more leverage with future games rather than the other cards you listed.

You know, with the rumored date of the g92 chips coming out in mid-november if you could wait that long the geforce 8 series cards would probably drop in price.

If you can wait about that long and save up some more cash you could easily get something that would be about ~$150 that would more than likely run circles around what you plan on purchasing now.

Especially since he wants to stay around or about $60. Come the new cards, the 8800's will be no where near that price. Go with the 7600 GT. You'll be happy 🙂

With the 7600GT you'll be happy for CS:S, but don't expect it to be able to handle truly newer games like Crysis with settings turned anywhere near up.

It'll play it, but you'll need to keep the settings down.
