Improved Image quality!
All I care about is how nice it looks and not speed... x1900xt is fast enough.

So, are the Omega, DHZero, or something else?
I'm an ATI noobie so I'm not totally familiar with the goals of the custom drivers...

In other words, I don't want drivers that will make the games faster (FPS) or introduce AF problems, etc. I want my games to look their best.

Thanks in advance :)

Omega is the best driver IMO in terms of both performance and stability. IQ doesn't really differ much between the different modded drivers but stability is generally best with Omega drivers (or in some cases stock Catalyst).

I just use the official 6.2 catalyst drivers. I remember trying Omega once, and I did not notice any improvement, but the Omega drivers are also a pain in the arse to uninstall completely, so i dont use em anymore.

I do not like CCC, however, so I use Ati Tray Tools to control all the advanced settings.

Hey munky why not 6.3 or 6.4? Are you not aware of them or is there a specific reason why you haven't upgraded?

I usually dont update the drivers unless there's a good reason like:
1. The older ones are buggy, or
2. The newer ones offer noticeably better performance or features.

So far, I've had no problems with the 6.2 cats. But if you just got a new card, then I'd install the latest official drivers.

Don't you want 6.3 + Chuck for HDR+AA in Oblivion?

Well, I already installed the chuck patch over the 6.2 drivers and it works. Do the 6.3 cats have the patch included?

Wow that's interesting. I guess the drivers are VERY specific in targetting Oblivion.
