I need a new video card, but I have weird criteria. I'm hoping that I can find some help here...

Here's what the card needs to do:

* AGP (Ok, that part is easy at least)
* DVI connector...
* Linux compatibility (Nvidia acceptable, but not optimal)
* Good 3D performance at 1024x768x32bpp
* Cheap!

Anything Kyro is ruled out - no DVI, no Linux. Twinhead is totally unneeded. Suggest away!

Thanks,

Jonathan

Matrox G400 - G400Max - G450
Matrox has good Linux support, a DVI port, descent performance, and its cheap!

The Matrox is good for up to 800x600@32bit at best. But everything else looks good.

You need an extra adaptor to run DVI on matrox cards. Around $50.
