Help me pick a new phone!

Hey guys, I don't know much about phones but here's what I value:

1) Decent quality music player (at least on par w/ my 2nd gen Nano if possible) I like how my Nano can show the album art while playing stuff so if the phone can do that too, that's a plus. I'd really like to carry one device rather than two and I'm hoping this will allow me to not miss calls while listening to music.

2) Robust appointment book. This is my main priority as I'm a manager at my office (the secretary-less kind) and my appointment schedule is crazy.

3) A touchscreen would be nice.

4) Staying with Verizon is a plus as I like them but I will consider switching carriers if a case can be made for that (for example, ATT's rollover is tempting as I would only go over my 450 minutes like 2 months in the year normally.)

5) Battery life is pretty important too though I'm coming from a KRZR so anything decent out now is probably triple the battery life of what I'm used to.

6) If I can get all of that on a good phone that doesn't require a data plan, that would be excellent. If I have to get a data plan, I'll suck it up and use email.

I was mostly considering the iPhone and the Storm. However, everyone is telling me that the Storm sucks and that ATT sucks so I'm hoping you guys can help me here! I can tell you that both ATT and Verizon have good service coverage in my area though Verizon is still better in that department.

Thanks!

Update: Forgot to add--if I stick with Verizon, I have their New Every Two discount. This gets me the Storm for free w/ a 2 yr contract among other things.
