take a Biostats class if you can--though there probably isn't a 101 level. it would be relevant to CS.

Certainly there's more than 1 physics course at your college. If you enjoy the one you have to take, why not take another physics course.

I haven't taken one yet, so I can't say if I'd enjoy it or not. But the NS class has to be a non-physics class anyway.

I took Organic Chemistry 351 (premed / engineering ochem), some 300 level Genetics (I cannot recall the specific number), some 400 level ecology class, 2 200 level zoology classes and 2 250 level human anatomy and physiology classes. I also took the labs associated with each of the previously mentioned classes.

My classmates said I was insane, but it got me a Biology minor, which is probably useless for a CS major since I am not going into computational biology.

Astro.

The first year stuff is pretty simple, just calculating brightnesses and magnitudes of stars, and maybe some orbit/mass/gravity stuff. Plus you get to look at pretty pictures.

Is chemistry easier than something like geology? The last time I took chemistry was in 11th grade, and the dickhead of the teacher made me dislike it.

What exactly about the head of the teacher's dick did you dislike?

I'll add my voice to the throng and say astronomy. At my school that was easy and fun. The other cake science class was about clouds and weather and shit.

dude, you NEED to take geology. trust me. one of the best classes i've taken at UA. although, physics might be useful for some programming

It depends on the prof. If you have Joe "I bought a telescope when I was 12 and was largely self taught" teaching the class, then it's fun.

If you have Professor "I have 3 astrophysics degrees", astronomy will be very tough because he'll want you to understand things like red shift, lensing, gravity, and spectral analysis.

I can't believe people don't suggest Biology. That was a very interesting class.

The fact that I could see it. He used to wear tight pants, and have one leg propped up on a desk while he talked. One of my friends started to dry heave once.

Wait, you can't take physics? I guess I would go with Chemistry.
I have to take 2 physics w/ calculus classes and another non-physics natural science. So 3 sciences, two of which are required physics.

Non-organic chemistry.

if you can't find that in the list of classes, try INorganic...

make sure to keep your head covered.

Is it weird that I would prefer the latter prof instead of the self-taught guy?
