Help me pick a camera bag...*PICS*

I've got a S2 IS on the way from Amazon, and I'm trying to choose a bag. I'm leaning towards a Tamrac bag at the moment.

http://www.tamrac.com/5693.htm

or this one...

http://www.tamrac.com/5694.htm

The 5694 isn't listed for any camera, but the 5693 is listed for the S1. I was looking at the 5694 since the S2 is a bit bigger than the S1 from what I've read.

The Canon bag is kind of cheesy and overpriced, so that's out.

Anyone else have any suggestions?

For what it's worth, I am a LowePro fan. I've had several over many years. I have two that I use with my Nikon F3. They're about 25 years old and are still in fine condition.
For my Canon S2 I just bought the Rezo 110 AW. It holds the camera and the few essentials I need. I'm happy with it.

Thanks...those look good, but I think we are looking for different things in a camera bag. That Rezo is a larger bag for carrying lots of accessories. I'm looking for a more compact bag that will just have the essentials and fit on my belt.

I can get a deal on the 5694 from Amazon if I go with blue, not my first choice, but cheap @ $10 with free shipping. I think I might pick up a black 5693 and the blue 5694 for $26 shipped, and just give the one I don't want to someone...

I've got the 5693, it's awesome. The camera fits perfectly, there's a bit of padding, and the front zipper area has room for 2 extra sets of 4 AA NiMH batteries, my USB cable, and a spare CF card. Highly recommended.

Edit: I don't think that the S2 is that much bigger than the S1, but then again I've never seen a direct comparison either. I would imagine the 5693 would work for the S2, but YMMV. 😛

What a great idea 😛

Hmm they all look pretty good. Since you dont have to carry lenses around it need'nt be too big.

Maybe you want to check out a camera shop for fit first?

I second that. I just went to blacks and bought one for 14 after testing it out.

Looks like it would be easier to fit spare batteries in the 5696, but it's kind of hard to tell.

I always like to keep a spare set with me in my case.

My case is a lot bigger than the ones you're looking at even though I still have my A40.

Mine is mady by Targus but I can't find mine on their site (not that you'd want mine since you're looking at smaller bags.

I like Crumpler bags. I have three of them (laptop, camera and video camera) and they are very durable.

I like Lowepro. I have THIS one for sports that fade from daylight to dark, gives me lots of room to be versatile. Makes for good storage and transport of all my equipment too. I use a medium sized TEK by Tamrac backpack when I'm traveling and biking.

Just make sure you get something that will give you room to expand (seems like I'm always adding something) and that's comfortable. I second the recommendation to go to a camera shop and try them out to make sure it'll fit your needs and for comfort.
