--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I ordered a 939 Athlon 64 FX-53 computer with the ASUS AV8 Deluxe board when it was the only thing Monarch offered. Now, because my computer is taking so long to build due to the 6800 Ultra delay, they now offer the Gigabyte, MSI Neo Platinum and ABIT boards. Should I stick with the ASUS or change to another while I still have time? This is for a game machine. I'm trying to research it but I don't have much time left before they ship :( Any help appreciated.

I've heard very good things about the MSI KN8 Neo 2 Platinum nf3. I'm not sure that its worth the hassle of dumpin your Asus, but it'd be an improvement.

going to an nforce3 might be worth it, but be carefull wiht the msi. Not sure about their 939 board but had serious stability/compatibility issues with their 754 board. With msi when it works its great, just dont expect it to work.

LOL - ditto. :D
I've ordered the Gigabyte from Monarch as I've always been pretty loyal to them (gb).

Asus A8V Rev 2.0 is just as fast as the MSI K8N Neo 2 Platnium and 50% cheaper almost.

Not quite as fast, have a look at the review benchmarks. About the same price around here, expected to be anyway.

To be honest with you though, I don't plan to overclock too much, but even so I'd take a performance decrease for A8V, take Wifi and whatever. I don't know what audio system is better, but I'll take whichever comes first, Rev A8V or Neo2.
