here it goes..
well I have a Sharp 32'' LCD HDTV LC32D43U
supports 720p and 1080i

now here is my problem
I recently bought a BFG 8800GT 512MB OC
Im running a DVI -> HDMI cable
the 8800gt is very sharp BUT i can't seem to read some letters sometimes since they GLOW too much

another problem im encountering is when I try to set the resolution to 1920x1080, i cant set the hertz to 60 but its stuck at 30. and when its stuck at 30hz, the screen tends to flicker up and down like theres an earthquake

would be better off returning the 8800gt an get myself an HD3870 since it has more supports for HD?

Thanks

1080i means 1920x1080 @ 30hz. You will see the interlacing lines. If you want 1920x1080 @ 60hz, you need a 1080P LCD TV. The problem is not your graphics card, but your LCDTV. You should run your LCDTV at its native resolution.

Your TV is on "vivid" or similar mode. Change the video settings to normal or standard and then lower sharpness from there further.

Press the AV mode button on your remote and set the picture setting to Standard. If needed, lower contrast and sharpness further.

what is the exact resolution you are running. IF 720P, that is actually not the native resolution of your panel. Your panel is probably something like 1366x768. Make sure you are using the later when within Windows.

im runnig at 1360x768 resolution cant seem to go 1366 ?

i set the sharpness to -4 atm looks ok
but a bit too dark so i set the backlight to +16 max..
contrast is in default +30

red letters seem to still be.. slanted?

this doesnt happen before.. when i was using my 7600gt plugged in with VGA
