Help me out with stress testing, havent done it for a while

My friends computer is consistently crashing while playing SC2. We assumed it was the video card and got evga to replace it but the computer still crashes. What should I use to stress test his card? I know a few years ago the thing to use was Rthdribl, is that still what is being used or are there better programs out there for this?

Well make sure his GPU drivers are up-to-date. That is the number one thing to do. If it's still crashing with the new GPU, then that is more than likely not the problem. Download coretemp and prime95. Run the prime95 "maximum heat" stress test for 20-30 minutes or until it crashes or starts registering errors and quitting on it's own. While running prime95, use coretemp to make sure the processor(s) temperatures are not coming too close to exceeding the tjunc max value.

Furmark is the new gpu stressing tool, but are you sure this is the way you want to troubleshoot his problems? I would start by monitoring gpu and cpu temps during gaming first, and make sure the system is fully updated.
