Try http://www.allelectronics.com
I researched most of the fans they carry and they are all pretty decent. Take your pick. You can also buy 24v fans and run them at 12v.
The larger fans (120mm) do well at this voltage and are quiet. Switch
them to 5v and they just run silent.

I just ordered some Panaflo 80mm L1A fans from http://www.teamawe.com, they are reasonably priced and there's no minimum order. They don't have connectors, I'll have to see what I want to do about that. I currently have two Panaflo L1A 120mm fans and they run very quietly for the amount of air they can move. They'll turn over at 3 volts (!) so running them at 7V or less is certainly an option if you really want to make it as quiet as possible.

Damn those prices can be expensive. You can go to Jameco.com, go to page 65 of their PDF catalog and look for Panasonic. THey have the Panaflo 120mm for $8.95. These are exactly the same ones being sold for $15 else where. I bought myself 6 with $7 shipping for a total of $60.70. If I had known that these are being sold for almost twice the cost, I would have bought more and sell them back for a $3 profit and still be competitive.

Thanks for helping me out. So there is only one choice for quite fan--Panaflo. From the pictures display on, http://www.teamawe.com/, website, it seems to me that none of the Panaflo fans has a thermal sensor. Oh well, that is not a big problem. There are two models, P80L1A and P80M1A, of the 80mm Panaflo fan. Which one is better? Also I would like know where and how can you guys mounted the 120mm fan in a midtower case since the little beige-colored plastic container in the front part of my case only accepts fans of size up to 87mm.

Panaflo's are the same noise rating as silencers(both 20dB)...

the Panaflo 80mm L1A is rated for 24 cfm
the Silencer 80mm is rated for 28 cfm.

HOWEVER! I have both fans here, and while hte silencer seems to be a tad quieter than the panaflo l1A, it also feels somewhat weaker. Based on price, i would highly suggest going with TeamAwe's 80mm(I've bought tons of fans from him, every time with great service). His prices are unbeatable.

thanks. i have 4 silencers and two antecs. combined with my golden orb and my 2 top motor 92s they're keeping my case fairly cool. and fairly quiet, which was a big concern. you're right though, i should've gotten TeamAwe's 80s. i think it's a bit late to return the silencers...

Well, its not like htey're bad(they aren't cheap :() but they are very comparable fans...

but when ti comes down to it, i prefer the 80mm L1A panaflo's based on the cost... can't beat $4 for a killer 80mm fan :)

so P80M1A is a Silencer and the P80L1A is just a normal 80mm fan??? Or is it the other way around??

No,

the silencers are a totally different brand of fans, sold by PC power and cooling..

the 80mm L1A is the low rpm, low db Panalfo 80mm

the 80mm M1A is louder, but also pushes more air.

There is no inherent advantage to having an M1A over any other 80mm, the specs are virtually identical. HOwever, with the L1A's, they are much quieter than the everyday 80mm Fan

one of these days i'll do a test comparing them..

but based on feel, they do not push more air than 24cfm Panaflo l1A's.. Coupled with high cost, and being only slightly quieter, it makes much more economical sense to buy Panaflo 80mms from teamawe.
