i have recently brought a new system and i am now thinking about overclocking this thing :D, so i am now asking you people for help. i brought a DFI mobo because i have been told these are good and will help me overclock, so if you wouldnt mind please help. i have read a guide on this site and have found out that i have to lower my multi and then up my fsb until i cannot boot into windows, but after that i am a bit lost.

also i read that i can only up my voltage to the max of 1.40, dont this seem a little low? with the dfi boards i no that you have to times the cpu voltage by the vid special, when you say 1.40 voltage is this just the cpu or is it what the total of the cpu times the vid special equals, as you can tell i am a bit of a noob so if there is any more information u need so that u can help me then dont hesitate to ask :D

thanks...steve

Do not exceed 1.45 volts especially if this is your first overclock. Im not sure what your asking besides that. Reread the guide and post any questions you have and Ill try and help. What mobo do you have?
