I'm having problem installing CUSL2
First of all, I have BE6-2,
after putting CUSL2, checked everything is ok, boot up the computer, windows goes into many dirver installation(pci bridge, pci something, agp something... etc) However, i can not install any of that becasuse with CUSL2, windows will not detect CD rom drive I went into BIOS, and every is ok. During the start up, it detects CD rom(detecting IDE.... NEC CDrom) but once in windows, no CD ROM drive.
Anyway since I can't install anything, I click cancle everything but after couple of cancles, I get system error(blue error screen). I have to shut down the computer at that point. I can not get any where beyond this .

I change the mobo back to BE6-2, everything is fine.

what is wrong?>
helpme thank you.

You REALLY ought to do a full reinstall whenever you change motherboards, particularly when you are changing chipsets.

In this case, the architecture of the i815E chipset is quite different to the old BX chipset. If you insist on not reinstalling, then you should get the Intel Chipset inf drivers and install them before you change over the motherboard. That way, when you boot up after you swap, Windows will be able to recognise all the new devices.

Can you boot to the safemode? If so, go into regedit and find the ENUM key. Delete it. This makes windows forget all the previous hardware. Now if it does not start detecting and installing your devices, then you need to hit the "windows and pause key" this will bring up you system properties. I say this, because you may lose your mouse temporarilly too. Right arrow over to open device manager. Tab down til it properties button highlights, then arrow over to the refresh button and hit enter. It should start detecting and installing devices. One other thing you could do also, is to copy all the drivers to a folder on the hard drive, while you do have access to your cdrom.

Andy is right, doing a fresh install of windows is going to be your best bet
