SO i'm at the LAN and they are giving away a $1700 computer package... by AMD. Who ever throws their airplane the farthest, gets the package. It's being made out of a glossy nvidia poster (the airplanes)....

got any tips?

rather heavy paper

you need to bend the wing to try to get some lift out of it

i usually use the "2 fold" technology for faster/futher airplanes, keep in mind i use just plain notebook/printer paper, dunno how big that nvidia poster is, maybe you can fold it more. Like when you bend it in half and then go to make the wings, instead of just folding them once, fold twice, and more as you go on, to make it more aerodynamic. and the back of the wings try bending just a little part of them up to give them degrees of steering.

Best tip I can give you: the larger the wings the better. Large, wide wings = distance.
And try to find the way to make that paper airplane that looks like a big O. I'm sure you can get the directions online somewhere. That plane always used to fly the farthest when I was making planes as a kid.

actually thats not correct, the planes don't weigh much so wider larger wings make it go slower, smaller sleeker wings = speed = fast = longer distance.

sounds like heavy paper.

to get the most distance wad it up into a tight ball and throw it.
