Hi all. I've been given the responsibility of making a new linux research computer into a print server to be shared with other UNIX machines (specifically Solaris). The printer is an HP LaserJet 6MP. I've got a standard RedHat 7.2 install on this computer. The lpd is started up, and I've configured the printer so I can print jobs locally. Could anyone point me to a good site for some reading or recommend some good software? Thanks.

What software are you looking for ?
If you have network and lpd, it should be sufficient for remote PCs to
print. Maybe you have to allow printing services in your inetd.conf
There are plenty faqs and howtos, you should take a look at the
printing-howto.

Thanks for the links guys. I've got networking setup as well as lpd. I guess I just don't know how to connect the dots, so to speak.
