Help me let qdoba and Rite-Aid they don't know how to run a business.

So here’s my story and why I won’t be visiting any qdoba restaurant until they own up and make what’s right.

I recently got a rewards card after visiting a qdoba restaurant and wanted to put in my receipt for points since I couldn't do it at the store because the card needed to be registered first.

On the site, it says to put in a code at the bottom of my receipt. This issue is, there is no code at the bottom of any of the receipts I have (we went up 3 times to buy stuff that night).

It turns out you have to tell the cashier you will need to put the receipt in your card later for the points to exist. Well, the cashier knew because we said we didn’t have a card but would register a new one later (we picked up a new card at the register while making our first purchase). What the hell is that anyway? Other reward cards automatically put a code on the bottom if a reward card is not scanned.

Well, needless to say, I didn’t get any credit to my account so I emailed them. What did they do? No response. Yep, 3 emails and still no response. Note: my email was not confrontational.
On top of that, the reward card says that if you register a new card, you’ll get a salsa and chips as credit. Did I get that? Nope. Way to over your customers.

Honorable mention to screw your customers goes to Rite Aid pharmacy.

I went in and got a bunch of stuff for my travels. One item was on sale. The lady at the register said that if I didn’t have a loyalty card or whatever they called it, I could not get the sale price.
What the….????? Most other stores give you the sale price regardless. Well, I walked out without buying a thing. Yep, they lost a sale and not just on the sale item. Way to screw a potential customer.

Because of this, I urge all of you to boycott qdoba and Rite Aid. Post this thread on Facebook and Twitter if you got it (because I don’t have either). I may have to sign up but I don’t have that many followers as some of you.

Here are they facebook\twitter links.

EDIT: Well, it looks like Qdoba Lauren came through and applied the points. I'm pretty impressed that that they went out of the way to help out. I'll be having Qdoba for lunch again. Thanks Lauren.

Facebook's sole purpose is tracking its' users. Eventually, they'll tie in loyalty cards to facebook profiles so they have you observed 100%. Your best bet is to ditch the cards, and patronize stores that don't use them. Stores that don't use loyalty cards are as cheap, if not cheaper than ones that do. The whole thing is a scam. Facebook is like heroin. If you don't already use, don't start. If you're already a junkie, it would be better if you quit ;^)

am i wrong to not want to date girls who use facebook daily or almost daily? i just dont get who theyre talking to. nobody ever knows where the communication is flowing because all facebook is is one giant sexting orgy. "im so happy today! i am the luckiest person in the world!" nobody wants to feel smaller then you, thanks asshole. "i just took my wittle doggy for a walk" nobody wanted to picture you scooping up poop with a generic plastic baggie, we appreciate that. "why is the world so cruel? i HATE men!" no, men hate you and youve always wanted to be a lesbian anyway.

Nope, I don't use Facebook or Twitter. I only have linkedin for job stuff but I hardly use that too.

You might want to try calling Qdoba customer service. I've had awful luck in just about every situation that I've used email. I've almost always had success when I've called and talked to a real person.

As for Rite Aid: Yeah, that was stupid. You unfortunately got a lazy/stupid cashier. Any retail establishment worth its salt will give you the sale price regardless of you having a store card or not. Next time, ask for a manager and I bet you'll get the discount.

From their website. My bolding.

Pick up a card at any Qdoba location, register here and start earning points by using your card with your next purchase. If you forget your card, ask for a Claim ID at the register and credit your points online later. We'll also send you valuable offers from time to time, a great perk for being a Qdoba Rewards member (card not required to receive emails).

PROGRAM BENEFITS INCLUDE:
Free chips & salsa or a free regular drink - just for registering.
(Reward is loaded on your card. Just order either one on your next visit and it’s free.)

Def agree with the other poster(s), though. 'loyalty cards' are usually just a waste of time.

Well, how to they expect me to visit if they've been screwing me over? Why would I go back if they make it so difficult? They might be better off without a rewards program because I would have went back. I guess it's the principle of it all.

I think I understand why they didn't respond to your emails.

Heh, well, not really my loss. There's plenty of food where I am and competition (think Chipotle). I've also been able to talk coworkers from eating there. If they had better customer service in this day and age, I wouldn't be so harsh. A lot of other places do so much better with customer service.

after reading your op i wouldn't respond to your emails either.

qdoba owns and i wasn't sure where i was going to eat for lunch tomorrow because i've hit up my normal 4 spots this week already, but thanks to you i now will be going to qdoba.

What's wrong with these programs? I use some, and I always give them my legit info.

Haven't had a single issue yet.

I came into this thread expecting some horror story. All I got was a whiny post complaining about chips and salsa and someone not giving you a loyalty discount without a loyalty card.

When I see people complaining in stores/restaurants about trivial shit like this I have to suppress the urge to walk up to them, hand them $20 and say "Now please shut the fuck up and let me eat in peace."

I particularly feel this urge when I see someone berating some 20 year old wait-staff, there's just no reason to behave like that OR to get that worked up over life's truly inconsequential events.

tell it Brandon!

The worst part is I don't even have a Qdoba around me when I do have those hankerings 🙁 Have to go up into Michigan or west into Valpo

But Moe's is still pretty good for those times. Plus there's many a time when Chipotle is friggin packed and I simply don't want to wait in that line. Always need a backup :awe:
