Help Me Identify Memory DEFECT...plz..

Hi, I just upgraded my computer memory from 2gb to 4gb with identical memory modules (OCZ PC2 8500). My Windows Vista 64-bit has no problem recognizing them all, and my stress test plus memtest86 report No error from it. However, I realize that the memory usage (percentage) displayed in vista "sidebar" drops from 38% to 30% after the upgrade. The question here is...I doubled the total RAM, shouldn't the PF or memory usage drops by half also? I was expecting it to drop to about 20%. Could somebody please explain this to me and tell me if it's a memory defect or it's just the way Vista eats up memory.

Thank you.

Vista likes to use memory. If you aren't getting errors and its showing 4 gigs the ram is fine

No defect.

Let Vista handle how much RAM it uses, & how much pagefile it uses...it does a good job of doing that.
