help me identify a movie...

I walked into one of the lounges in my univeristy yesterday and started watching a movie that seemed like it had just started.

There was a girl (who seemed to be in a white nightgown or dress) in the forest, running from something. Then she saw a naked girl (who was really bloody) nailed to a tree, she then ran and jumped into a lake and swam to a boat and got on. Hanging from the door to get into the inside of the boat there was a cross hanging from a chain. She walked into the cabin and found a dead girl in a closet. She ran to the engine and tried to turn it on but it wouldn't start so she went to check the engine and a girl came up from the water. Then the engine started and the girl got run over by the boat. Then some guy tried to come on board the ship and the girl stabbed him in the hand. That was the end of the scene.

Next scene was in a classroom. There was a teacher (who kinda looked like the big guy who didnt talk in Gone in 60 seconds) started talking about serial killers and jack the ripper. During the discussion one girl said he (the teacher) couldn't be a serial killer because he didn't "measure up". He had a big knife and walked around the room for a bit, then he slit some guys throat. The class started screaming, but then found out that the teacher and the kid who got his throat cut were just playing a joke.

Anyway, at first I kinda thought it was the movie "From Hell", but now I don't really think it is. Anyone have any ideas?
 

you sure it wasnt one of those jason movies? Cause I saw that the other night. did the guy chasing her have a hockey mask on and was carrying an axe?

Im pretty sure it wasn't either Urban Legend. The second one was horrible, and about film students. Wish I never saw it.....

Doesn't sound like either Urban Legends movie (the sequel sucked balls). I don't really know which movie it is, but it sounds like it's scary as hell. Scary movies still give me nightmares.

I think this movie has people going out to a house or something and they try to catch the killer or find out who it is.

i dont think its any of the movies you guys mentioned.

for what its worth, the movie looked like it was a new movie. the color looked great and it just did not look like it was some old horror movie.

Sounds like the home movies my family made when I was a kid. We stopped when there was no room left under the porch to bury the bodies.
Good times...good times...
