You know, I love Anandtech Off Topic - you can ask the weirdest questions here without embarrasement. I know some chemically-minded people hang out here - perhaps you can help me out.
When I go to Japan, I always try and head out for the medicinal volcanic spring baths. One of my Japanese friends knows how much I like them, and sent me this 'essense of volcanic bath'.
I had a good long soak yesterday evening, and woke up this morning feeling very refreshed. However, there's a byproduct of this volcanic bath - specifically to do with the sulfur content. You don't notice it really in the ambience of a 'ryokan' while relaxing in Japan - presumably because everyone else there smells the same - but boy do I notice it now.
Yup, I smell like a giant fart.
I've had two baths with regular bath gel now, to no avail - the smell is still there. I can't go out to work tomorrow like this! Is there something I can use to neutralize the smell (hopefully without having to remove my skin)?
