Gotta find the source4.js file in your cache... I'm having problems finding mine.

'wget www.academy.dyndns.org/hackits/security_levels/source4.js' is a much easier method.

I know. I gave up trying to get it installed right in windows... I'll just reboot to linux 🙂

Installed? All you have to do is throw it in a directory and use it.

I tried that... It gave me some lbsomethine32.dll not found error. Rebooting is easier 🙂

What the hell? I cant figure this out either. Is their some hidden code?

I just did a save as from inside IE when the page was up. Worked perfectly.

The hint tells you want you need, that it isn't a hidden file.

So take the normal way you represent a .htpasswd file (.htpasswd), and make it not hidden.

Still fun though.. One hint, Venkman!
Doesn't even start to get tricky until you're into the double digits.

Open http://scifi.pages.at/hackits/the10th.htm in IE.
Click cancel and immediately hit Esc. This will stop the redirect.
Then go file->save as. You'll get the html and the needed .js file.

Does anyone know how number 10 works? I solved it using method described in the thread, but I don't understand where that source4.js comes from. How come if you look up the address directly you get that Chebyshev riddle? I'd like to know how they actually made that redirect

Hmmm... aparently "view source" doesn't show the html code that gets used... so that's the illusion of the wrong webpage, however I still don't know how they work that
