Help me find this mysterious DVD Player!

I'm looking to get a new DVD player. I have $199 (CDN) credit at Future Shop. The DVD Players (set top) they have at the store in my Price Range are:

RCA RC5240P - 199.97
Samsung DVDS222 - 189.99
Toshiba SD412V - 219.99

I've been looking for the SD412V on the net and I can't find it anywhere! Its not even listed on Toshiba's website.

I've read reviews of the RCA and apparently it sucks. So my choice is basically between the Samsung and the Toshiba. Someone help me out here please!

Not much help, but I would recommend the Panny RP56. If you were able to shop elsewhere, that is...

Ummmm...considering Pansonic's lower model (RV32) goes for more than his price range, why would the progressive scan RP56 be cheaper?

Go with the Toshiba...haven't heard anything about that model but samsung and RCA make crap DVD players.

I know nothing about these three models but I would have also excluded the RCA from round one. Based on past experience with DVD Players I'd get the Toshiba.

Most Toshiba's are fine so this player should suit you well. Has the Component, s-video, toslink, just no coaxial digital which is fine.

Good man! Leafs want it bad...next season is gonna be another good one for the leafs methinks. Their team should be at full strength

I have a Toshiba Progressive Scan DVD player and before that we had the SD-2200 (I think...).

Both are top notch in all fields. Highly reccomended.

I guess you're looking in the wrong places then, kami.

You can get the Panny RP56 from J&R for $199 + S&H. You can even probably find it cheaper elsewhere if you take the time to look...
