Help me find this 80's song.

I heard this on an 80's radio station (106.9 in Houston) and it was part of a remix. The song went like this: The guy singing was spelling out a phrase, L-A-T-******-L-O-V-E. The * represents the missing alphabets I could not make out over the music. It sounded a whole lot like Sting, but I know he won't sing such songs. Anyone know?
