Delerium R0X0RZ!

Try
DJ Krush - The Message At The Depth
Tosca - Honey

Thats all i can think of right off. At work so dont have my MP3 collection up, but those come to mind quickly. Alos, some X-Terior is really good as well.

Forgot to add 1!!

Nightmares On Wax - Carboot Soul
One of the best albums I have ever heard IMO. Very good stuff.

Well for me when I think of Delerium, Enigma immediately springs to mind. If you've never heard the MCMXC a.D album then you should definitely check it out--it's going on thirteen years now but I still love it as much as I did back in 1990. Doesn't sound dated at all (how many albums from 1990 can you say that about :p).

P.S. The comparison isn't really that fair... Enigma and Delerium both have very unique sounds. But I'd put them in the same genre (although I'm not sure exactly what I would call said genre ;))

Enigma is one of my favorite bands, has been ever since I was really young (I think 7 or 8, maybe? How long have they been around?)

If you like ethereal and relaxing music that still has some bite, try Amethystium, with their two CDs "Odonata" and "Aphelion". There's some excellent music there.

1990... MCMXC a.D was the first album. It's actually pretty much one guy--Michael Cretu. He does all the sampling and songwriting and some singing (especially on the later albums) and has guest vocalists on other tracks.

P.S. I think it's really cool that Norah Jones is revitalizing interest in vocal jazz among people who traditionally wouldn't be exposed to jazz of any kind. Diana Krall has been at it for years and seems to be enjoying increased popularity as a result of Norah-converts looking for similar stuff. Cassandra Wilson and Eva Cassidy are also teriffic modern-day balladeers. But for me you can't get any better than the pioneers-- Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, Sarah Vaughan, Billie Holiday, and Julie London. Sultry, sexy, and passionate!

I'm also feelin' the "chillout" music right now, like Ultimate Chillout 2002, or music in that style, minus the vocals. It sorta reminds me of drum 'n bass [slower?], with a mix of ambience in it. Nice solid [and deep] bass lines, with a clean upper section.

I guess I can attribute this to alot of the music [which is similar] TV programs play nowadays to accomp reports, shows, and commercials etc.

Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday... oh, man... they turn me on.

Well, not always literally... but you get the idea. Soooo sexy when a woman can sing.

Weird, never knew that he was the person behind it... there is some amazing music out there from them... I think they have... three CD's out?

Four proper albums (MCMXC a.D., The Cross of Changes, Le Roi est Mort, Vive le Roi, and The Screen Behind the Mirror), plus a greatest hits collection with one or two new tracks.

Good stuff!
