I vaguely remember playing a game on my mom's computer when I was in high school where you had some sort of object (probably a ball), and you'd build pulley and conveyor systems to get the object where it'd need to go. You built everything up, then "pressed play" to set everything in motion.

I remember playing this within Windows, and it ran inside a window. I also think it might have been included in some sort of package with Windows or something, either that or we got it from a game compilation CD. That's about it, unfortunately. Any chance one of you know what the hell I'm rambling on about?

Sounds like the incredible machine to me as well. Were there hamsters in their cages which powered belts and such. If so it's probably it. Total classic imo.

crazy machines 2 is a newer game based on that same concept. pretty cool, especially if you need a diversion from all the FPS games or whatever else you play.

I'll check that out.

The reason I asked about this game was because a friend and I were playing some humpty physics game (or whatever it was called), and I got a couple of brief flashes of me playing The Incredible Machine long ago.

Since there is a thread about games in the past, I've been looking for a game I used to play as a kid. It came on the 5.5" floppy disks, it was a point and click game in a fantasy type setting, and the main character wore yellow pants and a purple shirt (might be switching the colors around) and he had frizzy/spikey hair. Anyone have a clue?
